Designwerk have been fortunate enough to have been producing the UEFA Champions League brand guidelines since 2003. Each cycle the number of assets grows as too does the ambitions of these books. The latest variation being the most extensive set of guidelines ever produced - the concept we devised was split into two separate books: one featuring the Brand in action the other being the brand in practice. Both were housed inside a beautifully crafted slipcase lined with velvet and silver ribbon. The amount of work that went into this book reflects the collaboration between a wide range of people, agencies and skill-sets. The book was also converted into an iPad app and featured not an animation of content but the sounds and music that make the competition what it is. The content was also delivered to an on-line brands asset management portal that we built from the ground up and is now being used extensively by stakeholders around the world.
